Costa Del Sol Coronavirus Restrictions Lifted.  The Costa Del Sol health district has joined the other districts in Malaga Province and moved into Level Zero.

Costa Del Sol Coronavirus Restrictions Lifted

The Costa Del Sol has finally ditched the coronavirus restrictions as the health district has moved into alert level zero.  Bars, restaurants, and retailers are welcoming the removal of limits to the numbers of customers and their opening hours.

Despite not reaching the accumlated incidence rate threshold of 50 cases per 100,000 people, the Territorial Committee for High Impact Public Health recommended that the alert level for the Costa Del Sol be reduced.  The move to level zero is effective from today (the 14th October).  The other five health districts in Malaga Province are already at level zero.

Facemasks Remain Mandatory

Despite the removal of restrictions and the beginning of “the new normal”, the health authority are reminding us that face masks remain mandatory indoorsm and sanitary procedures and precautions must be maintained.

The incidence rate continues to fall in Malaga Province.

Malaga Province Incidence Rate

The 14 day accumulated incidence rate for covid-19 in Malaga Province continues to fall, it is now 38.9 cases per 100,000 people.   This is still slightly higher than the rate for Andalucia as a whole, which is now 28 cases per 100,000 people.  The Costa Del Sol health district now has an accumulated incidence rate of 52.8 cases per 100,000 people.
