Costa Del Sol Incidence Rate Rises Again
The Costa Del Sol health district’s 14 day accumulated incidence rate has risen again today to 62.4 cases per 100,000 people. The rate for Malaga Province has increased slightly to 53.3 cases per 100,000 people. The Malaga City health district has seen a rise to 53.8 cases per 100,000 people. The incidence rate for the whole of Andalucia is 37.2 cases per 100,000 people.
In the last 24 hours there have been 76 new cases of coronavirus reported in Malaga Province, bringing the total number since the start of the pandemic to 156,561. Andalucia has registered 289 new cases of coronavirus today.
The New Normal
The Costa Del Sol health district is now at alert level zero, which is being called “the new normal”. Bars, restaurants, and retailers have welcomed the removal of limits to the numbers of customers and their opening hours. Face masks remain mandatory indoors.
