Spain’s national weather agency AEMET has issued an amber weather warning on Thursday and Friday for dangerously strong winds with a chance of thunderstorms on the Costa Del Sol. Amber is the second most severe of the warnings which can be issued. The warning is in place from 6am on Thursday 18th November until 11pm on Friday. Winds could be as strong as force 8 (up to 74km/h), with waves up to five metres high being predicted.

Types Of Weather Warnings

Red: Take action. Extreme weather is expected. Red means people in the concerned areas should take action now to keep themselves and others safe from the impact of the weather. Widespread damage, travel and power disruption and risk to life is likely.
