Dramatic Pictures Of Benalmadena Fire
Yesterday afternoon firefighters battled to control a blaze which was sweeping across the hillside at El Higueron. The fire began as a vehicle fire, which quickly spread to surrounding land.

27 forest firefighters, 3 fire engines, 1 plane, and 1 helicopter were involved in the battle to bring the blaze under control.

INFOCA confirmed that the fire was under control by 6pm on Sunday, and had been completely extinguished by 9am today. No casualties have been reported at this stage.
