Easter Weekend Weather Warnings. Spain’s national weather agency has issued yellow weather warnings for gale force winds this weekend on the Costa Del Sol.
Easter Weekend Weather Warnings
Yellow weather warnings have been issued for gale force winds on the Costa Del Sol over the Easter weekend. Spain’s national weather agency (AEMET) is forecasting gale force 7 winds which could reach speeds of up to 60km/h. Waves could be as high as 3 metres at times.
The first weather warning comes into effect at 12am on Saturday 30th March and remains in place until 6am. The second warning is for Sunday between 3am and 12pm.
Thunderstorms On The Costa Del Sol
Heavy rain and thunderstorms are also being forecast throughout the weekend. The storms will be broken up by some sunny spells, with temperatures reaching highs of 18c on Saturday and Sunday. Click here to see the latest forecast for the Costa Del Sol.

Yellow: Be aware. Severe weather is possible over the next few days and could affect people in the concerned area. Yellow means that you should plan ahead thinking about possible travel delays, or the disruption of your day-to-day activities.
Amber: Be prepared. There is an increased likelihood of bad weather affecting people in the concerned area, which could potentially disrupt people’s plans and possibly cause travel delays, road and rail closures, interruption to power and the potential risk to life and property.
Red: Take action. Extreme weather is expected. Red means people in the concerned areas should take action now to keep themselves and others safe from the impact of the weather. Widespread damage, travel and power disruption and risk to life is likely.
