Gale Force Wind Warning
The Costa Del Sol has been placed on Yellow Alert for gale force winds on Thursday and Friday (13th and 14th January). The weather warning from AEMET (Spain’s national weather agency) is specifically for strong winds on the coast until 4pm on Friday. Wind speeds are expected to reach force 7, which is around 60km/h. Waves during a force 7 storm can reach 20 feet.

Red: Take action. Extreme weather is expected. Red means people in the concerned areas should take action now to keep themselves and others safe from the impact of the weather. Widespread damage, travel and power disruption and risk to life is likely.
