Government Relaxes Face Mask Restrictions In Spain
The publication of today’s BOE confirms the government’s announcement that face mask rules are being relaxed in Spain. From tomorrow (Saturday 25th June) it will no longer be a legal requirement to wear a mask outdoors, as long as social distancing is possible.

Masks must still be worn indoors and outdoors where a 1.5 metre distance can’t be maintained.
Masks Still Mandatory Indoors
Masks must still be worn indoors, in crowded situations, and on public transport. Failure to wear a mask in these situations is considered a public health offence and may be punished with a €100 fine. There has been opposition to the changes from several autonomous communities, including Andalucia. Earlier this week the Regional President confirmed that whilst Andalucia will respect the new rules, he is encouraging people to continue to wear masks voluntarily.
