A red weather warning is currently in place for thunderstorms and torrential rain on the Costa Del Sol. Red is the most severe of the alert levels. The warning is active until 3pm today (29th October). Spain’s national weather agency AEMET is predicting accumlated rainfall of 120mm during a 12 hour period.

The red weather warning ends at 3pm and is followed by a low risk period, before a yellow warning becomes active at midnight. The yellow warning is for 15mm of rainfall an hour, and will remain active until 8am on Wednesday 30th October,
