Lorry Driver Rescued After Costa Del Sol Horror Crash
A lorry carrying water melons crashed on the A7 at La Cala De Mijas (KM202) this morning. The vehicle careered off the carriageway, smashed through the safety barriers on the eastbound carriageway, and came to rest on the beach.

The fire brigade were able to free the 27 year old driver from the wreckage, and an ambulance has taken him to the Costa Del Sol hospital near Marbella. Police closed off the road at the time of the crash, and reopened it at 8am this morning.
