Malaga Airport Strike Planned

Malaga Airport could grind to a halt on the 12th August as around 300 staff are planning to go on strike.  The union CCOO says that the workers are owed around €800 each in unpaid bonuses.  The union also claims that there are issues with working conditions, and changes to holidays and staff days off at short notice.

An end date for the strike has not been announced, with CCOO saying it could go on indefinitely.  Travellers are being warned to expect long delays.
