Malaga Province is facing a water shortage this summer, as its been revealed that reserves have fallen to 30% of their capacity. Residents and businesses are being urged to limit water consumption where possible. This year in Marbella less than half the amount of rainfall has been collected, compared to this time last year.
The two main storage reservoirs in the province are now at 30% of capacity, with less than half the amount of water that was stored a year ago. The reservoirs at Viñuela and Guadalhorce are showing no signs of improvement as rainfall continues to be scarce.
