Malaga is one of the world’s top ten destinations for tourists this year. Travel company eDreams have released a study of tourist trends called “A Year In Travel” which has analysed the behaviour of millions of their customers, and Spain has proved to be more popular than ever. Barcelona has topped this year’s list, which features cities from around the world including Istanbul and Paris.

Tourists continue to be drawn to Malaga and the Costa Del Sol by the competitive prices for flights and hospitaly, along with the climate, culture, and the many attractions and experiences available here.  Malaga province enjoys around 300 days of sunshine a year, perfect for beach lovers who enjoy the long stretches of sand on the Costa Del Sol.

Alcazaba Malaga

The Alcazaba in Malaga is one of the most prominent historical sites.

Malaga’s rich history appeals to the millions of tourists who visit every year.  The city is the birthplace of Picasso, and many of his famous works are displayed at the Picasso museum and the Pompidou gallery.  The Roman and Moorish history of the city draws visitors from all over the world.  The Alcazaba is a magnificent 11th century Moorish palace and fortress that offers stunning views and beautiful courtyards.  Below the Alzasaba is the Roman amphitheatre.

Malaga has a vibrant city feel feel with world famous restaurants and a dynamic night life scene.  The city centre is pedestrian friendly, with world class shopping on Calle Larios, and a modern marina with beautiful views.
