Man Arrested In Fuengirola For Dublin Murder
Police swooped on a Dublin man who has been on the run for 15 months on Thursday last week. 27 year old Dean Evans had been living in Fuengirola using a false identity. A European arrest warrant was issued and Mr. Evans was tracked down to the Costa Del Sol town.
Callous, brutal, and premeditated murder
Dean Evans is wanted in connection with the “callous, brutal and premeditated murder” of dissident republican Peter Butterly five years ago in Dublin. 35 year old Butterly was shot dead in the car park of the Huntsman Inn in County Meath.
It’s alleged that Dean Evans was sat behind the victim in a silver Toyota and shot him. Four men were originally arrested, including Evans who skipped the country with his partner just before the trial was due to begin in 2017.
