One Million British Hotel Guests On The Costa Del Sol
Foreign travellers make up over 60% of the total hotel market on the Costa Del Sol. Last year recorded the highest number of visitors staying in hotels, with over five million tourists staying here. That number includes a record number of Brits, according to Elias Bendodo, president of Costa del Sol Tourism Board.
Growth
The tourism sector continues to grow on the Costa Del Sol. Last year, the total number of hotel guests increased by 5%, with tourism showing growth of over 11%. More than one million British visitors stayed here in hotels during 2016, which is a 13.1% year on year increase.
