Quake Shakes The Costa Del Sol

An earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale struck just off the coast of the Costa Del Sol this morning. The tremor was felt at 8.27am, with the epicentre registering at a depth of 87 feet just off the coast near Benalmadena.

The quake comes less than 24 hours after a tremor shook Sevilla and Malaga.

Local resident June Morris lives in Benalmadena.  She said “My husband and I were just getting out of bed when we felt the shake and heard a loud rumbling noise.  It only lasted for 2 seconds at the most, and nothing was damaged.  It was a strange experience though”.
