Smurf Village Residents Feeling Blue – the famous blue Smurf Village is being forced to remove all references to the blue characters
Smurf Village Residents Feeling Blue
Six years ago Sony Pictures painted the white houses of the Júzcar village blue to promote their Smurfs movie. After the premiere, Sony offered to repaint the town white but the 240 residents voted to keep it blue. Since then, the Smurfs connection has been a popular tourist attraction with 50,000 people a year visiting the previously quiet village in Andalucia.
