Spain Planning To End Mandatory Masks On Public Transport

Spain’s Minister of Health has confirmed plans to end mandatory face masks on public transport.  Carolina Darias says that the proposal will be put to Parliament on the 7th February, and she fully expects it to be accepted.  The BOE published the following day will bring the change into effect.

Despite the plan to remove the rule requiring masks to be worn on public transport, it will still be neccessary to wear a facemask in health facilities and pharmacies.  Ms. Darias says “you have to go step by step.  We have a very stable situation with the virus.”
