Speed Cameras Returning To The A7
Two of the most active speed cameras in Spain are being reinstalled on the stretch of the A7 between La Cala De Mijas and Fuengirola. The cameras record the average speed of drivers travelling between two locations, which will be close to the BP garage in Fuengirola, and on a bridge near the lighthouse at El Faro.
The average speed cameras were removed to allow for roadworks on the A7, and bridge maintenance work. They will be reinstalled on the 12th June. A spokesman for the DGT said that he hopes these cameras will encourage drivers to stick to the 80kph limit.

The cameras in place before the maintenance work was carried out.
There have been several major accidents on this stretch of road whilst the cameras have been inactive. You can read about one of them here.
