The Insurance Compensation Consortium have received almost 500 claims from people in Malaga Province who have been devastated by last week’s flooding.  On Tuesday 29th October the torrential rain caused flooding and damage throughout the province, with the Guadalhorce area the worst affected.

As the clean up operations continue there have been 463 requests for compensation from people in the municipalities of Malaga, Alora, Benalmadena, Cartama, Alhaurin De La Torre, and Torremolinos. The claims are for damage to homes, vehicles, shops, and other businesses.  The first payments are expected to made at the end of next week.
