Weather experts are warning of torrential rain and thunderstorms on the Costa Del Sol on Friday. Spain’s national weather agency AEMET has issued a yellow weather warning. The weather will be at it’s most severe between midnight and 3pm, when a month’s rainfall could batter the area in less than 24 hours.

The bad weather is expected to improve after 3pm on Friday. From 6pm it’s predicted that the rain will stop completely, with a mainly sunny and dry outlook for Saturday and Sunday.

Types Of Weather Warnings

Yellow: Be aware. Severe weather is possible over the next few days and could affect people in the concerned area. Yellow means that you should plan ahead thinking about possible travel delays, or the disruption of your day-to-day activities.

Red: Take action. Extreme weather is expected. Red means people in the concerned areas should take action now to keep themselves and others safe from the impact of the weather. Widespread damage, travel and power disruption and risk to life is likely.
