Andalucia Prepares To Vaccinate 7 Days A Week

Andalucia is preparing to open vaccination centres “7 days a week, 24 hours a day”.  Government spokesman Elias Bendodo says that large vaccination clinics will be opened in each of Andalucia’s provincial capitals, and a detailed plan will be announced tomorrow (Tuesday 16th February) by the government.

National government is being pressured to provide more doses of the vaccine for Andalucia, and more aid for businesses affected in the tourism and hospitality sectors.  Bendodo said “We need the government of Spain to assume its responsibility, send us more vaccines and pitch in to give direct aid to sectors such as hotels and tourism that have been the most affected.”

The vaccine is the beginning of the end of this crisis according to Bendodo.  “Vaccination is synonymous with the beginning of the end of the crisis and Andalucía wants to be the first to take the road of recovery.”  He went on to reitterate Andalucia’s commitment to mass vaccination, saying “Andalucía is ready to vaccinate seven days a week, 24 hours a day in all provinces”.
