Andalucia Reducing Restrictions In Three Phases. Phase One begins on Sunday and will see bars and restaurants opening until midnight.
Andalucia Reducing Restrictions In Three Phases
The state of alarm in Spain ends on Sunday the 9th May. The Junta de Andalucia have now confirmed the restrictions which will be in place on a regional level from Sunday. The Regional President had already confirmed earlier this week that there will be no curfew in place.
Three Phase Plan
Restrictions will be reduced across Andalucia in three phases. However, the new restrictions will not apply to municipalities with an accumulated coronavirus incidence rate greater than 500 cases per 100,000 people.
Phase One
The first phase begins on Sunday, and will be in place until the 31st May. The key changes are:
- Andalucia’s regional border will re-open
- Restaurants and bars will be permitted to open until midnight
- Nightclubs can open until 2am (masks must be worn on dancefloors)
- Groups of 6 people will be allowed on terraces
- Groups of 4 people will be allowed together inside venues
- There will no limit on the number of people meeting in private homes
Phases Two & Three
Phase two will begin on the 1st June. This will allow for increased numbers at events, theatres, and cinemas. Beaches and pools will no longer have restricted opening times. Masks and social distancing will still be compulsory.
Phase three will begin on the 21st June, subject to vaccination targets being met. These include 70% of the population receiving one dose, and 40% of the population being completely vaccinated. When phase three begins, almost all restrictions will be removed and Andalucia will enter “the new normal”.
