Reservoir Levels Fall To Lowest Ever.  The water levels at La Vinuela have fallen to just 9.2% equalling the lowest levels ever recorded.

Reservoir Levels Fall To Lowest Ever

Water levels at La Vinuela Reservoir  have fallen to just 9.2% of capacity.  This equals the lowest levels ever recorded in October 2008.  The reservoir supplies water to 14 towns and 220,000 people in the Axarquia area.  There is no rain expectedthis week, click here to see the latest Costa Del Sol weather forecast.

Costa Del Sol Water Supplies

The regional governent of Andalucia recently established an emergency cabinet to monitor the water shortage situation.  Other reservoirs in the region are also running low, including the Embalse Conde De Guadalhorce which supplies Malaga and is at 32.6% of capacity.  La Conception which supplies most of the Costa Del Sol is in a better situation, with water levels at 48.7%.
