Marbella’s Main Reservoir Out Of The Red. Recent rainfall has boosted water levels at La Concepcion enough to bring the reservoir out of the red.
Marbella’s Main Reservoir Out Of The Red
La Concepcion reservoir near Marbella which supplies most of the Costa Del Sol has seen its levels boosted by recent heavy rainfall. The reservoir is no longer in the red “serious drought” classification. The level recorded this afternoon (Tuesday 2nd April) is 33.8 cubic hectometres, which is almost 50% of it’s total capacity, and a 17% increase on this time last week.
Levels at La Vinuela remain low.
Costa Del Sol Water Supplies
Other reservoirs in the region have also seen an increase in levels since the heavy rain. The Embalse Conde De Guadalhorce which supplies Malaga city is now at 33.2% of capacity. La Viñuela which supplies water to 14 towns and 220,000 people in the Axarquia area is now at 15.8% of capacity.
