Work Begins On New Section Of Boardwalk
Work has officially started on the latest section of the boardwalk on the Costa Del Sol. This section will connect the municipalities of Fuengirola and Benalmadena, with a 15 metre stretch of wooden walkway. The promenades at Rey de España and Playa Carvajal were previously joined by a wooden bridge which has been demolished.
The project also includes the construction of a ramp at the final roundabout of the Paseo Marítimo Rey de España, which leads to the walkway. The work is expected to be completed in 85 days, one month less than initially planned, at a cost of €103,000
200km Coastal Walkway
When complete the “Senda Litoral” boardwalk will be 200km long connecting towns, beaches, and ports along the Malaga coast. It will be possible to walk from Manilva to Maro. The walkway already includes the longest wooden bridge in Spain at Guadalhorce.
