29 Aircraft Tackling Huge Costa Del Sol Blaze. 600 people have been evacuated from their homes near Estepona as a wildfire continues to rage.
29 Aircraft Tackling Huge Costa Del Sol Blaze
29 aircraft are tackling a huge blaze which started near Estepona yesterday evening. The fire broke out in Sierra Bermeja near the towns of Jubrique, Genalguacil and Estepona at 9pm. There are currently 250 firefighters working to bring the blaze under control. The fire has spread quickly because of the strong Terral wind and dry conditions.

Level 1 Emergency
The Junta de Andalucia has classed the situation a Level 1 emergency, as 600 people have now been evacuated from their homes. Residents of the Forest Hills and the Abejeras development in Estepona, and the Montemayor community in Benahavís have all left their homes.

250 fire fighters have been tackling the huge blaze near Estepona.
