Amber Weather Warning For Wednesday. The Costa Del Sol is being warned to expect force 8 winds as Spain’s national weather agency issue an amber alert.

The Costa Del Sol has been placed on Amber Alert for gale force winds on Wednesday 26th January. Amber is second most severe of the warning levels. The weather warning from AEMET (Spain’s national weather agency) is specifically for strong winds on the coast between midnight and 6pm. Wind speeds are expected to reach force 8, which is around 70km/h. Waves during a force 8 storm can reach 5 metres.

The wind is expected to increase in speed on Tuesday though no warning has been put in place. There could be some rain to accompany the wind but nothing more severe than a light drizzle is being forecast.
