A British man believed to be a “hitman” with connections to organised crime in London has been arrested following a car crash on the Costa Del Sol.  On Sunday (3rd July) a black Nissan QashQai crashed into a wall on Calle Orfebres in Riviera Del Sol, the visibly shaken driver tried unsuccessfully to flee the scene on foot when police officers approached.  Officers found two guns, a silencer, and ammunition in the car and arrested the man.

The Guardia Civil notified officers at the scene that the man was wanted on an international arrest warrant in connection with several murders.  He was taken to court in Fuengirola and sent to prison whilst investigations continue.  The man has not yet been named.
