British Man Drowns In Southern Spain.  A 53 year old Brit got into trouble in heavy seas and died at Playa Del Palmar.

British Man Drowns In Southern Spain

A 53 year old British man has died whilst swimming in heavy seas.  The man has been described as a strong swimmer.  He was swimming at Playa del Palmar near Cadiz with his niece when a surfer noticed the pair were in trouble.  The surfer was able to safely get the niece to the shore and then returned to bring the man to safety.

Emergency services and first responders performed CPR on the holidaymaker, but were unable to revive him.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.  A Foreign & Commonwealth Office spokesperson said: “Our staff are assisting the family of a British man who has died in Cadiz, and are in contact with the local authorities.”
