The calima is expected to come back to the Costa Del Sol on Thursday andFriday (14th & 15th September). The phenomenon known as “calima” is a haze caused by sand which has been blown from the Sahara desert.  Spain’s national weather agency AEMET is saying that the impact of the dust cloud will be increased due to rain, which causes a muddy silt to be deposited.  This can cause problems for motorists and also affect outdoor facilities includind swimming pools.
