Costa Del Sol Town Bans Euthanasia In Rescue Centres
Estepona Town Hall has backed a motion to ban the killing of healthy animals at rescue centres. Several animal rescue charities including ADANA, Mirada Libre and Gatos y Amigos proposed the change which is now receiving official support.
Education Progamme
A new department is to be introduced in the town hall which will be responsible for the sterilisation and care of stray animals in the town, and also for introducing education programmes into local schools to educate youngsters about animal welfare.
A date for the introduction of the new rules and policies has yet to be set, but animal rescue charities on the Costa Del Sol are now hoping that other local authorities will follow this example.
