Costa Del Sol Weather Alert

Spain’s national weather agency AEMET has issued a yellow weather warning this afternoon (Monday) for heat.  The Terral wind is pushing temperatures up again, as forecasters are saying the Costa Del Sol could experience high temperatures between 36c and 38c.  The warning is active from 1pm until 9pm.

With the high temperatures comes an increased risk of fires which have been known to devastate areas of the Costa Del Sol this summer.  There is also an increased risk to animals, as pet owners are being reminded to provide shade and water for their animals.

Emergency services are on standby to deal with fires caused by the high temperatures.
