Excitement is building over this year’s Christmas lights event in Malaga, as the council have today confirmed that the theme will be a winter wonderland forest.  €806,000 is being spent on the Christmas lights in the city, with 730,000 lights making up the main display which will feature on Calle Larios.

22 arches will be erected on Calle Larios, which will be decorated with suns, angels, and leaves.  The lights will create a show along with music including Mariah Carey’s famous Christmas hit.  Expat Sally Bush from Torremolinos says her family are already looking forward to seeing the display.  “We go to the switch on every year, we were sad when we heard the light tunnel had gone but the new display sounds exciting”.
