Infection Rate Falls In Andalucia
The coronavirus infection numbers have fallen for the first time in a month in Andalucia. The incidence rate over the last 14 days is 909.9 cases of covid-19 per 100,000 people. Despite the fall the current number is still considerably higher than it was a week ago, when the incidence rate was 642.7
During the last 24 hours there have been 4751 new cases of coronavirus detected in Andalucia, with 82 deaths recorded. In the Malaga Province there have been 22 deaths, and 990 new infections. The 14 day incidence rate in Malaga Province is 993.9 per 100,00. Since the outbreak of the pandemic there have been 64,107 cases of coronavirus in the province and 937 fatalities. The Junta De Andalucia reports that 38,659 people have recovered from the virus.
The regional government continue to impose border closures on municipalities in Malaga Province where the incidence rate is greater than 500 per 100,000. Non-essential businesses are closed in municipalities where the incidence rate is greater than 1000 per 100,000. You can see which municipalities are affected here.
