Malaga Incidence Rate Falls Further
The 14 day accumulated incidence rate for covid-19 in Malaga Province has fallen again over the weekend, it is now 41.3 cases per 100,000 people. This is still slightly higher than the rate for Andalucia as a whole, which has now fallen to 32 cases per 100,000 people. Over the weekend there have been 42 new cases of coronavirus detected in Malaga Province. Only two coronavirus related deaths have been recorded in Andalucia, both in Cadiz.
Costa Del Dol Health District
The Costa Del Sol health district now has an accumulated incidence rate of 58 cases per 100,000 people, whilst the Malaga health district has achieved a reduction to 33.8 cases per 100,000 people.
Returning To Normal
Recently the Junta De Andalucia announced that health districts with an accumulated incidence rate below 50 will be placed in level zero from the 1st October. This will mean no restrictions on opening hours for businesses, bars, and restaurants. Capacity limits will also be removed. These health districts will still be required to comply with face mask and social distancing rules. The Costa Del Sel health district is currently at alert level one with an incidence rate still above the 50 cases threshold.
