New Strain Of Coronavirus Detected In Andalucia
16 cases of the new strain of coronavirus have been confirmed in Andalucia, according to the Junta today. The regional government will be meeting on the 8th January to assess the situation and decide which steps need to be taken. The Health Minister says “the trend was downward before Christmas and in recent days it is going up.” Regional President Juanma Moreno has appealed for responsible behaviour to slow the spread of the virus. On social media he offered this reassuring information: “Andalucía maintains the occupation of hospital beds below the national average and one of the lowest incidents of the disease”.
