Parents are being warned to watch out for a man aged between 30 and 40, average build, with a goatee and driving a grey car after the attempted kidnapping of a teenager in La Cala De Mijas last night.  The sports club has issued a statement reporting that a 15 year old boy who had been training with the youth team was approached by the man as he walked home at 9.30pm.

The attempted abduction happened on the road between the sports ground and the Aldi supermarket.  The teenager was approached by a man who began to harass him before grabbing him and trying to force him into a grey car.  The boy was able to break free and run home.

The sports club are saying today that the boy is shaken but not injured.  They are advising parents to accompany their children to training sessions, and have requested better lighting and more surveillance from the local police.
