Second Death Reported In Costa Del Sol Floods – a man drowned in La Linea de la Concepcion when his van was caught in a flash flood.

Police have confirmed that an electrician has drowned near the Zabal zone where he was working to try and restore power.  He was trapped inside a work van by flash floods, along with three colleagues.  They were able to escape the flood waters, but tragically the man became trapped in the van and died.

Three Days Of Mourning

The Mayor Of La Linea, Jose Franco, has declared three days of mourning.

“He was working to restore power to the area when it happened.  I have just declared three days of official morning.  We are profoundly sadly for his loss and we are united with his family in their grief.”
