Storms Lead To Flooding On The Costa Del Sol – the weather alert was temporarily upgraded to “red” as heavy rain pounded the Costa Del Sol, leaving many areas affected by flooding.

The Spanish weather agency AEMET upped the weather warning to RED briefly on Sunday morning as torrential rain lashed the Costa Del Sol.  The alert is now back at AMBER, which indicates that the area should still be on high alert.  The rain is expected to continue until Monday afternoon.

BREAKING: Woman Drowns In Estepona

This just in: a 26 year old woman has drowned in Estepona.  She was along in Club California, when she became trapped by rising flood waters.  Emergency services were unable to reach her in time.

The severe weather has lead to a power cut at 93.6 Global Radio’s transmitter site.  Due to it’s remote location, it’s not yet known when Endesa will restore the power supply.  The station continues to broadcast online though, you can listen live here.
