Tornado And Storm Warning. An amber weather warning for possible tornados and thunderstorms has been issued for the Costa Del Sol on Monday.

Spain’s national weather agency (AEMET) is warning “The possibility of a tornado and waterspouts can’t be ruled out”. An amber weather warning is in place until 6am on Tuesday (18th March), gale force 7 winds could reach speeds of up to 70km/h and thunderstorms could deposit 25mm of rain an hour on the Costa Del Sol. The weather warning is active from 6pm today (17th March) until 6am tomorrow.

Red: Take action. Extreme weather is expected. Red means people in the concerned areas should take action now to keep themselves and others safe from the impact of the weather. Widespread damage, travel and power disruption and risk to life is likely.
