Record Breaking Number Of Tourists Visit Andalucia.  Andalucia is on course to record the highest annual number of tourists ever as the region celebrates it’s “best summer in history”.

Record Breaking Number Of Tourists Visit Andalucia

2023 has been the “best summer in history” for tourism in Andalucia, as the region is set to break all previous records for the total number of visitors this year.  Regional President Juanma Morena told guests at the World Travel Market in London that we are expecting to close the year with 33 million tourists having visited Andalucia.  July, August, and September have already set new records as more than 12 million tourists travelled to the region.

88.3% of arrivals at Malaga airport have been from the UK.

British Tourists In Andalucia

British tourists represent a huge portion of the total number of visitors to Andalucia.  So far this year British holidaymakers have made up 70.3% of all the visitors to the Costa Del Sol, and 88.3% of arrivals at Malaga airport have been British.  Airlines have responded to the record breaking demand in 2023 by increasing the number of available seats for 2024 by 85,000.
