Malaga Airport Strikes Scrapped
Planned strikes by Menzies’ staff in Spain have been scrapped ahead of the Easter weekend. Travellers were facing delays and stress at Malaga airport because of the strikes, which were scheduled to happen from Thursday through to Monday the 6th April. Workers agreed a last minute deal yesterday and called off the strikes.
The strikes were aimed at improving general working conditions, and the management of shift patterns and overtime work.
Delays are still possible though at Malaga Airport as Groundforce staff are staging partial strikes today, and on Monday the 6th April. The impact of these strikes is expected to be minimal.
