Motorway Charges Won’t Be Scrapped On AP7

Earlier this year it was announced that all toll roads in Spain would be passed back to the government, and charges would be scrapped.  However, whilst several toll roads in Spain have had charges removed, including the AP7 through Valencia and Alicante, the AP7 will remain a toll road on the Costa Del Sol.

The 83km stretch of the AP7 between Malaga and Estepona will cost €25 to use during peak months.  Operator Ausol has a license to operate the road until 2054 and has confirmed there are no plans to reduce or remove the charges.
