Bank Holidays In Andalucia

Bank Holidays In Andalucia

Here in Andalucia, we have fourteen public, national or ‘bank’ holidays each year.

These holiday include ten National holidays, two regional holidays and two local holidays.  If the holiday falls on a Sunday, it will probably move to the following Monday. Whilst these days are still celebrated on the Sunday, the Monday will be a working holiday with most shops, banks and many businesses staying closed

The confirmation of the national bank holidays are published in the Boletin Oficial del Estado (BOE) and the regional holiday in the Boletin Oficial de la Junta de Andalucia (BOJA) towards the end of the preceding year.

The public and bank holidays in Andalucia for 2022 are:

  • New Year’s Day
Saturday January 1st.  The first day of the year and a chance to relax after the celebrations of New Year’s Eve!
