Audrey Fitzpatrick To Return To Spain – the mother of missing Amy Fitzpatrick plans to begin a new investigation into Amy’s disappearance
Audrey Fitzpatrick To Return To Spain
On January 1st 2008, teenager Amy Fitzpatrick vanished whilst walking home from a friend’s house in Riviera Del Sol. Amy’s mother, Audrey Fitzpatrick is now planning to return to Spain to “kick off” a new investigation into Amy’s disappearance, and encourage police to follow new leads.
Audrey is currently bedridden in Dublin, suffering from a liver disease. She says that the disappearance of Amy and the death of her son Dean have driven her to a life of drinking. “Not so long ago I was just drinking, and sleeping, and drinking and not eating until eventually I ended up in hospital. I just didn’t care any more. I always had a drink, we all had a drink. It did get worse after Amy went missing and it got twice as bad after Dean.
Amy’s stepfather Dave Mahon is currently serving time after being found guilty of killing Dean Fitzpatrick
